Frequently Asked Questions

  • I provide a range of editing services, specifically for academics. This includes master’s and doctoral students as well as scholars working on peer-reviewed publications.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through my contact form to schedule a Zoom call—I will walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • As a peer-reviewed author and academic librarian, I am steeped in scholarly literature. Notably, in my capacity as an academic librarian at Seton Hall University, I have overseen the submission of nearly one hundred dissertations and theses to Seton Hall’s Libraries for publication to the Libraries’ institutional repository and ProQuest. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring all dissertations and theses maintained a high standard with regard to formatting, citation style adherence, pagination, and copyright compliance. This hands-on experience sets me apart from my peers and allows me to approach academic literature with a keen and seasoned eye for common and obscure issues prevalent in dissertations, theses, and manuscripts.

  • I will strive to ensure, in every way I can, that I will have your utmost confidence and trust when handling your work. For details on how I protect your work, including your data, intellectual property, and ideas, please see my Privacy Policy.

  • Unfortunately, I cannot accept graduate students attending Seton Hall University, as that’s where I currently work; as a librarian there, I am involved in the Libraries’ acceptance process for dissertations and theses. Therefore, I will not accept graduate students as clients whose work will eventually reach me when formally submitted to SHU Libraries.

  • No, I do not use AI tools to complete editing. Tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc., are not integrated into my editing workflow. AI tools such as Microsoft Word suggested text or autocorrect are used in an advisory capacity.

  • You can reach me anytime via my contact page or email. I aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
