  • Manuscripts and Files: Drafts, reference lists, figures, and notes that you send directly via email for technical editing, formatting, or citation style audits.

  • Payment Information: Financial transactions are handled securely through third-party payment processors via Squarespace. I do not store your credit card or bank account details on my systems.

2. Absolute Generative AI Protection Guarantee

Your intellectual property is entirely safe from automated exploitation.

  • Zero AI Exposure: I will NEVER upload, paste, or input any part of your manuscript, data, abstract, references, or communications into any generative artificial intelligence tool (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or any AI-powered grammar tool that utilizes user data for model training).

  • Human-Only Precision: All technical editing, formatting, and citation audits are performed exclusively by me, by hand, using secure, traditional desktop software (Microsoft Word).

3. Strict Confidentiality and Secure Storage

I treat your academic research with the same rigor expected of blind peer-review processes.

  • Local, Secure Storage: All files, manuscripts, and notes related to your project are downloaded and stored securely on either my local, password-protected business computer, a secure, password-protected external hard drive, or on on my at-home, personal, closed-system server.

  • No Third-Party Access: Your work is never shared with, subcontracted to, or viewed by anyone else.

  • Retention and Deletion: I retain your completed document solely to provide customer support (e.g., if you lose your copy and need me to resend it). I will hold your completed document for a total of one year, after which it will be permanently deleted. Any additional documentation sent to me or created by me throughout your project will be deleted after three months from completion and payment. If you would prefer that I permanently delete your files from my system immediately upon completion and payment of the project, please notify me via email, and I will gladly comply.

4. Your Data Will Never Be Sold

I am in the business of academic editing, not data brokering. I will never sell, lease, rent, trade, or distribute your personal information, email address, or academic work to any third party, advertiser, or marketing agency under any circumstances.

5. International Compliance (GDPR & Global Privacy)

Because academic collaboration is global, I respect the data privacy rights of clients worldwide, including those subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union and United Kingdom.

  • Your Rights: You have the right to request access to the personal data I hold about you, request corrections to it, or request that it be completely erased from my records.
